INEC POSTPONES GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION BY ONE WEEK

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has postponed the governorship and state assembly elections scheduled to hold on March 11 by one week.

The elections has now been rescheduled to hold on March 18, 2023.

Speaking on the condition of anonymity, a state Resident Electoral Commissioner confirmed the decision.

The INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, and his commissioners went into a closed-door meeting over the governorship election at 7pm on Wednesday.
