Democracy in Nigeria suffered a serious setback today as the Department of State Service (DSS) shutdown the national assembly.
One of the operatives of the DSS who spoke under the condition of anonymity claimed that the security outfit acted on the order from above by shutting down the complex.
Responding to this development, the national assembly members who got to the premises early but were prevented from entering the complex complained bitterly that the nation is gradually descending into a state of anarchy. They wondered what kind of change the APC government is now offering Nigerians.
All efforts made to reach the director of the DSS yielded no fruit as at the time of filing this report.
