Oke-Ako Ekiti in Ajoni LCDA of Ekiti State just experienced a very devastating rainstorm that rendered many of its inhabitants homeless.
The rainfall which lasted for about two hours was accompanied by a very strong wind.
The people scampered for safety but at the end more than one hundred houses had their roofs blown off and several electric poles damaged as seen in this video.
At the time of filing this report, the residents are still counting their loses as they look up to NEMA and Ekiti State government for assistance.
The Deputy Governor of the state promptly visited the scene. She gave an assurance that the state government will do everything possible to alleviate the surfering of the people.
