Speaking on a TVC programme, the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Femi Hamzat has faulted the claim by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) that Nigeria has too much money in circulation.
According to him, the N3.5 trillion declared to be in circulation by the CBN is less than 5 per cent of Nigeria’s total money. He went further to compare Nigeria with other advanced countries that have gone cashless for many years and still have more percentage of their money in circulation.
