Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court has declared Lamidi Apapa as the bona fide National Chairman of the Labour party.

The decision was made on Friday, May 12th.

In response to the ruling made on Friday May 12th, Apapa stated that he is now in charge and has directed the party’s legal representatives in the presidential election tribunal to meet with him within 48 hours.

As the Deputy National Chairman of the Labour Party, Apapa has assumed control of the party’s operations following his recognition as the acting chairman.

He has therefore mandated that the party’s attorneys must appear before him in person within the given time frame, to discuss ongoing matters related to the presidential election tribunal. This recent development is expected to have a significant impact on the Labour Party and its future operations.
