A group of armed robbers, on Saturday morning, invaded Eleshin at Olomo community in Apete, Ido Local Government Area of Oyo State and operated with Point-of-Sale machine.
According to our findings, the robbers stormed the area around 1:00am and used the POS device to transfer money from the unsuspecting victims. The ugly incident had thrown the entire community into panic as residents are leaving in palpable fear.
Speaking on condition of anonymity, one of the residents, said, the armed robbers got to the area around 1:00am with a POS device and transferred unspecified amount of money from their victims’ accounts and left.
The robbers was also said to have made away with two phones, iPhone 11 Pro Max and XS Max.
The case was said to have been reported at the Apete Divisional Police Command. But as at the time of filing this report, the state Police Public Relations Officer could not be reached for confirmation.
